About Me

First things first, My name is Keith. I’m a 41 year old husband and father of two from south Arkansas.

In June 2012 my wife and I embarked on a tremendous adventure. We took a one week trip, just the two of us, to Paris, France. It was the first time either of us had been to Paris. To be perfectly honest, aside from a cruise to Mexico, it was the first time either of us had left the country. In other words, this was a major experience that we will never forget.

I completely fell for Paris. Sure I was blown away by the major sites – The Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, Notre Dame, etc. But I was just as much drawn to the architecture and culture of the city. I still think about walking through Paris in the rain, the wonderful cafe scene, and the Parisian approach to dining.

In light of the impact Paris had on me, I took to writing about it.  After many kind words from many kind people, I was encouraged to write more. So I’ve dedicated this page to my impressions of “The City of Light” – the impressions of a first time traveler completely under the spell of the grandest city in the world. I hope you enjoy reading it half as much as I enjoy writing it.

  1. Lovely to read your blog. I am taking my partner to Paris for his 60th birthday for three nights and I want to make it as special as possible so thank you very much for the information and wonderful way of describing your experience. Going to book La Billebourde restaurant for dinner to avoid roaming around on his birthday. Sounds wonderful. Thank you. Debbie x

    • Thanks so much! It’s such a wonderful and cozy little restaurant. Please let me know what you think about it. I would give anything to eat there tonight! 🙂

  2. Do you know the name of the artist that painted the painting of la Musee D’Orsay that feature on your blog? Thank you in advance. Erleen

    • Hi there! I’ve tried to credit most of these superb artists on each post but I have had a heck of a time finding this one. Still searching though and hope to share something with you once I know something!
